Class of Restriction Groups

Purpose

The Class of Restriction (COR) Groups form gathers Class of Restriction numbers into groups. The COR Groups define which Classes of Restriction cannot access an outgoing trunk route.

Use this form to perform the following tasks:

NOTE: Class of Restriction Groups are referred to by the ARS Routes form and ARS Leading Digits form. They're also used for Toll Restriction. Class of Restriction numbers are assigned in the Station Attributes form and Trunk Attributes form.

System-generated, protected field. Lists a Class or Restriction Group number in the range 1 to 75. COR Group 65 should be reserved for use by ARS for routing calls over Direct IP Routes (see ARS Routes form). Its use for other applications is allowed but not recommended. COR Groups 66 and up are reserved for future use.

IMPORTANT: COR values above 64 should not be used in networks unless the entire network is upgraded to MCD 5.0 or higher.

 

Classes Of Restriction For Group

Enter the COR numbers to include in the group. A range of numbers may be specified. Separate the numbers with commas or dashes. For example, 1 through 9 may be entered as "1-9" or a combination of individual numbers. Ranges may be entered as "1,2,3,7-10,13".

NOTE: COR numbers must be entered in ascending order within each group.
